Business Development Director Jobs
A business development director is principally responsible for the successful operation and profitability of a business development division. Specific duties of a business development director position include providing vision and strategic leadership to the division, evaluating performance of business managers and their teams, allocating resources to various teams, forecasting business development activities, promoting competition among different business development teams, providing training and educating business development managers, promoting team work, allocating business development targets to various teams, and goal setting. A business development director typically reports to the vice president – business development.
A business development director should have a bachelor's degree and an MBA in marketing. Several years of progressively responsible experience in business development is essential for a business development director position. Ability to lead and motivate others is essential.
