Business Development Engineer Jobs
A business development engineer is responsible for expanding a firm's business with new and existing clients through cold calling or personal visits. Specific duties of a business development engineer include calling business houses, discussing with them the areas of engineering in which the firm operates, understanding the clients' area of business, proposing a business venture, providing details about the projects, writing business proposals, providing detailed information to the clients, solving queries that may arise, negotiating rates with the company, and meeting business revenue targets assigned by the company. A business development engineer typically reports to a business development manager.
A business development engineer should have a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. Prior experience as a business development engineer may be advantageous. Excellent business development and selling skills are essential for a business development engineer role.
