As a Business Development Manager, your objective is to clearly express ideas in a manner that will build rapport with our current and new customers.  You will help build new customer relationships and assist in managing key customer “partnerships” for long term business growth and success. Responsibilities are as follows: Developing new business accounts to secure major construction contracts Strategically prospect, network, and research future construction project opportunities Working collaboratively with the business development team to create and implement strategic plans to generate business opportunities which result in achieved revenue objectives for the Dayton region Participating in industry and community organizations Continuously growing and developing your skills to lead project teams in selling high-end conceptual services to executive level managers and buyers of large corporations and agencies Making decisions based on Messer's long-term growth philosophy and core values Minimum Requirements: Business and community relationships in the Dayton area 3-5 years of business development / sales experience Bachelor's degree in business, construction or related field Proven track record developing business and long term client relations Knowledge/experience in a construction related industry is preferred Knowledge of the Health Care, Higher Education, Science & Technology, Industrial, and Aviation markets is a plus Experience with market expansion strategies is a plus Formal sales training and experience with client management (CRM) software is a plus We provide an excellent and comprehensive compensation package with unlimited opportunity for personal and professional growth.  If you would like to join our team of employee-owners and are interested in a challenging and rewarding career, please visit our website at http://www.messer.com/careers.
