It is a part of one of the largest health systems and the second largest faith-based health system in the United States.  CHI St. Luke's Health's facilities have been recognized as some of the best in the nation. The Business Development Specialist is responsible for marketing, program development, physician relations and management of both internal and external activities.  The specialist supports that effort through analysis and assessment of market opportunities, developing and retaining referrals from physicians in primary and secondary service areas, development of specific market business plan, in coordination with the overall hospital business plan, and the management, implementation and evaluation of activities involved in those plans.','!*!Minimum Job QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred.Minimum years in field previous to employment: One (1) year of related work experiencePreferred years in field previous to employment: Five (5) years related work experience  Preferred experience as an EMS Paramedic and/or Emergency Room Nurse  Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*Excellent communication skills for a broad audience.*Understand and explain financial reports*Understand and explain market demographics*Understanding of program service linePosition Responsibilities 1. Develop positive relationships between BSLMC, urgent care, free standing EDs and EMS agencies.  2. Serve as a liaison between EMS and BSLMC by providing reports and statistics to facility leadership.  3. Collaborate with local EMS agencies and medical directors, review performance improvement and quality metrics.  4. Align strategic and business planning initiatives and assist in the development and implementation of the hospital business plan. Provide market expertise and strategic development, modification, feedback and implementation ensuring growth priorities are identified in the service line.    5. Develop and implement a business plan to drive service-line growth; track activities; report on activities.  6.
