About this role: You will serve as a key contributor to Americas Marine and Offshore\u2019s Business Development team, focusing specifically on growing our business in the Gulf and northern Caribbean. As a successful Sales Manager, you will work with the Americas Business Development team to analyse the area\u2019s revenue potential, agree realistic sales targets for LR\u2019s range of products and services, and successfully meet those targets in order to grow our client base. Key skills include large-account management and needs-based selling techniques. As a successful Marketing Manager, you will direct all activities that involve promoting the LR brand along with new products and services. Key experience includes social media outreach, event promotion, and good presentation skills for public speaking. It is encouraged and expected that you will continuously develop your technical knowledge in ways that are relevant to clients and industry. This is a travel-intensive role that will often call for multi-day trips and, occasionally, travel on short notice to accommodate client schedules. The best fit for this role will have: Knowledge of the local client base, including ; ideally with an established local client network A Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent; strong preference for degree in engineering or relevant field (e.g., maritime academy, naval architecture, ocean engineering, etc.) Fundamental understanding of the marine and offshore industries, particularly gas technology, oil\/gas production, small\/special-purpose vessels, and the commercial factors that drive the industry Ability to participate in and add value to marine and offshore technical discussions with clients and LR colleagues, as well as on key industry panels and speaking events Experience in a business development role based building long-term relationships Ability to effectively work with geographically and culturally diverse internal network Commercial awareness and ability to develop strategic action plans Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to proactively develop a network of key relationships internally and externally Understanding and experience in using a CRM system, preferably salesforce.
