Work you ll doAs a Business Development Lead Specialist, youprovide business development and operational support for the National Emerging Growth Company (EGC) audit practice.The EGC Practice is focused on supporting relationship development and positioning efforts within the startup, venture capital, and private equity (PEI) communities. You will report to the national audit sales director and work closely with the EGC chief of staff senior manager. You will support our sales executives and audit partners nationally by playing a key role in relationship development strategies, lead identification, delivering marketplace intelligence, pursuit tracking, owning EGC quals, results reporting and overseeing knowledge management resources for EGC. Additional responsibilities will include:Understand business, industry, customers, and marketplace prioritiesUnderstand the competitive landscapeDevelop leads and cultivate a targeted list of prospects working closely with EGC sales executivesIdentify key Partners and Managing Directors within the audit organization to assist with targeting effortsAssist sales executives and partners with qualifying opportunitiesMaintain accurate and timely pipeline and market funding reports working with the sales operations teamWork closely with other operating and industry groups and remote support teams to ensure timely, useful and accurate deliverablesLiaise with marketing teams to amplify relationship development efforts through collaboration, maximize pursuit opportunities, and aid in the selection process for eminence building activitiesSupport sales executives in managing the monthly sales executive callsActively seek opportunities to push toward a higher level of performance and effectiveness vs. being satisfied with a maintenance mode of operationBe an EGC brand ambassador, understanding Deloitte s audit services and how we go-to-market The teamOur team culture is collaborative and encourages team members to take initiative and seek on-the-job learning opportunities.
