Description

The Lead Project Management manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. The Project Management Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

ESS is seeking a Project Management Lead who:

Designs, communicates, operational plan for completing the project, including operational readiness and transition to service areas and production support team; monitoring progress and performance against project plan; communicates and seeks resolution to barriers on the timeline.

Assembles and leads project team; identifying appropriate roles and skillsets needed and communicates with other areas in the organization to secure resources and contributions to meet the project targets and milestones.

Will be familiar with project scope & objectives as well as role & function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

Initiates and facilitates cross-functional meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to various audiences.

When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies & integration of interrelated projects; sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value

Will partner with IT project manager to bridge the gap between IT and business.

Understands department, segment and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

Poses knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects.

Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.

Leverages standard tool and methods within a centralized project management office (PMO).

Contributes to PMO process improvements and peer development.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

5 or more years business project management experience, preferably with technical solutions and operational readiness planning

Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal effectiveness

Advance project management skills and prior knowledge of existing projects or areas of support

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

PMP certification

Working knowledge of Agile methodology
