Position Overview

Precision Planting is a subsidiary of AGCO Corporation and a leading provider of planting and harvest technology in the Precision Ag Industry. We design innovative products that solve yield-robbing issues for farmers.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Business Development Account Lead.  Individual will be responsible for overall commercial account relationship with OEM's and developing relationships with new strategic business partners.




Ensuring compliance with all of the License and Supply Agreement requirements, and maximizing account profitability as well as pursuing new strategic businesses. *

Serve as overall point of contact with OEMs on administrative, marketing, product support and technical relationship aspects, ensuring that Precision Planting complies with all requirements of Licensing and Supply Agreements. *

Coordinate with OEMs bill of material development with R&D and purchasing functions. *

Coordinate with purchasing to ensure compliance to all supply chain requirements, Conflict Mineral Certifications, C-TPAT Compliance, etc. *

Coordinate with quality to ensure that all process and procedures related to SQSOR requirements in place, as well as, warranty review, control plans, and quality performance measurements. *

Coordinate with operations that all labeling, packaging and commercial documentation process are in place to meet customer requirements. *

Coordinate with OEM production planning and Precision Planting purchasing to ensure that we have adequate forecasting process in place to ensure 100% on time delivery. *

Work with OEM and Precision Planting engineering to manage on-going support commitments between change requests and general product updates to ensure that communication and documentation requirements are met. *

Coordinate with Product Support to execute train-the trainer sessions to make sure OEM personnel have proper knowledge to train their dealer network. *

Ensure that all documentation and on-going product communication is transferred to the customer on a timely basis. *

Capture and report overall relationship performance, including product quality, delivery and profitability. *

Evaluate opportunities to establish new strategic business partnerships that will align with and accelerate Precision Plantings go to market strategy.

Required Skills/Experience


Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Business studies, MBA preferred *

10 + years experience in leadership/account management or working in the agriculture industry *

Ability to communicate technical information to customers *

Ability to influence a team *

Excellent time management skills *

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal *

Highly motivated *

Computer skills: Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Desired Skills/Experience


Experience in Agriculture or Precision Agriculture account management is strongly desired.
