And our culture of innovation means your ideas on how to improve our business and your clients will be heard.Deloitte s health care practice represents organizations, both public and private, that are responsible for the delivery, funding and payment management of health care and medical related services.A Manager at Deloitte in the Health Care Provider Technology Strategy / Transformation practice is expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including: Client Management: Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors Project Delivery: Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, assess, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for health care organizations. Responsibilities include, among others, managing teams in technology capability assessments and strategies, client solution definition and identification of business requirements, vendor selections, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures. Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into project staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.Qualifications Health Care Managers in the Technology Strategy / Transformation practice are required to have: PROJECT MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIESResponsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projectsTake projects from original concept through final implementationDefine project scope and objectivesAbility to lead teams in performing analysis, design, and implementation of critical components of IT infrastructureManage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design and flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support proceduresPerform role of counselor and coach; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activitiesDevelop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reportsConduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysisManage teams through design, development, and/or operations of complex technology environments (programs, applications, systems, and infrastructure)Manage technology assessments and develop strategic recommendationsDevelop technology advisory and implementation solutions that extract maximum business value for our clients TECHNICAL SKILLSIn-depth knowledge of and experience with IT infrastructure including Active Directory, Windows (server and end user), storage, network, end user devices (including Citrix and VDI) and data centersIn-depth knowledge of and experience with cloud computing as applied to a healthcare environmentIn-depth knowledge of and experience with IT operations, including how engineers and administrators work with IT processes based on the ITIL frameworkIn-depth knowledge and experience performing complex IT cost analysis, IT current state assessments, IT process optimization, and large-scale technology transformationsExecute enterprise IT application rationalization efforts by building business capabilities, blueprints, consolidation of application inventory, and developing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models and IT roadmap recommendations8 years of experience related to this position, including project or direct management experienceExtensive experience managing projects of various sizesITIL v3 Foundation certificationBroad technical knowledge, including systems sizing and architecturePassion for emerging IT technology solutions, industry trends, and progressive operations methodologiesKnowledge of major infrastructure technology vendors including Dell/EMC, VMWare, HP, IBM, Cisco, and othersKnowledge of IP networking, VPN s, DNS, load balancing, and firewallingKnowledge of end user technologies, including VDI, Citrix, VPN, thin client, thick client, and various iOS and Android devices In addition, successful Managers in the Provider Technology Strategy / Transformation practice should have the following desired background:Experience working in a relevant technical role, either with another consultancy, with a vendor or within an enterprise IT teamExperience with IT organization design and management principles/techniquesKnowledge of emerging healthcare technologies and the broader digital health (eHealth) environment in commercial healthcare settingsClinical experience and exposure to healthcare technologies in a clinical settingEagerness to mentor junior staffAn advanced degree in the area of specialization Our healthcare professionals enable health care providers (from physicians to Integrated delivery systems) to improve the cost effectiveness and quality of their care delivery capabilities.
