Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) has an outstanding opportunity for a Business Development Consultant who will focus on the new customers in the Herndon, VA. territory. This role will be primarily customer interfacing with Owners to develop new business. Ownership of the plans and strategies aimed at serving and expanding the customer sales base in their assigned area. Dissemination of key messages, initiatives, and of information pertaining to the value HBS brings to targeted customers, opportunities, and solutions. Partner with potential customers, establishing relationships & maximizing the business potential for both parties. Establish customer specific account plans

Meet and exceed annual account plan quotas

Accurate forecast of orders and growth opportunities.

Strategic competitive and market information.

Understands customer demands, funding restraints and is a student of their business

Solid understanding of Infrastructure Retrofits and Performance Contracting is a plus

25 Establish Rapport

* YOU MUST HAVE *

Minimum of 2 years of business to business sales experience with construction, HVAC, fire, security, building automation, performance contracting or other related technical industry experience (IoT, SaaS, etc.)

Valid Driver's License

Bachelor’s degree

Experience with Challenger or other strategic selling techniques

Commercial, Healthcare or Industrial market knowledge

Proven experience developing and executing strategies for sales growth

Knowledge or Awareness of current climate in Connected Buildings (i.e. Cyber Security and Building Analytics

Customer engagement at senior levels; building long-term strategic and executive relationships

Ability to create/seek out and assess new opportunities

Build trust and credibility at all levels of the customers' organization, including decision-makers across the customers’ business functions and c-suite

Clearly articulate value and demonstrate how solutions map to a customers’ needs

Compelling presentation and communication skills tailored to needs of diverse audiences

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.Exempt How Honeywell is Connecting the World
