Description Summary

As a Client Executive you are responsible for effectively managing, building and developing business partner relationships clients and channel partners (independent agents and BluePartner agencies). Within this responsibility, the expectation is that business partners feel that their operational, customer service, reporting, and renewal issues/requests are effectively managed and done so in a proactive, solutions-driven, and positive way. Business partners also expect that their Client Executive to provide consultation throughout the year to maximize group employee engagement and optimal health plan utilization.

Accountabilities

*Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with clients (group employers) and channel partners (agents, brokers and consultants) to increase Blue Cross brand loyalty by proactively servicing clients and channel partners. This includes in-office communication (phone and email) and in-person visits (up to 15% of your time).

*Lead, implement and coordinate the annual contract renewals for assigned clients by collaborating with clients and/or channel partners to negotiate the financial terms of the contract renewal. This includes the negotiation of rates, benefits, and risk arrangement to achieve Blue Cross business objectives.

*Strategically motivate/convince clients to implement group employee engagement strategies. This includes strategic-level explanation of integrated marketing campaigns, planning and executing events, and managing ongoing marketing campaigns.

*Serve as the Blue Cross subject matter expert to sell new products/programs/services.

*Participate in the implementation of assigned new business contracts to assure successful internal implementation while understanding and meeting client and channel partner business needs.

Requirements

*Bachelor's degree in a business related field and three or more years of sales and marketing experience or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. 

*Ability to travel throughout the State of Minnesota by car and throughout the country by plane up to 15% of the time.

*Overnight travel as required. 

*Proven experience delivering presentations (selling and education/training) in person in 1:1 or small group settings, at events to large groups of people, and via Webinars.

*Ability to obtain (within 60 days) and/or maintain current State of Minnesota health and life insurance sales license.

*Excellent analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.

*Highly organized with attention to details and a track record of delivering a high level of client service in a timely manner while maximizing account profitability. 

*Ability to prioritize and follow-through on multiple projects that may occur simultaneously.

*Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute healthy and positive dynamics to the work team.

*Ability to train and mentor team members.

*Able to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes

*PC Skills, including professional-level experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes. 

*Maintain compliance with CRM (Client Relationship Management) reporting requirements.
